Which supermarkets do you cover?
Woolworths, Coles and Aldi — the three that between them handle most of Australia's grocery spend. Prices are adjusted for your state, and if you're in NT or Tassie where Aldi has little or no presence, we plan around the two stores you actually have.
Are the prices real?
Yes. Every Wednesday we pull the new specials catalogues from all three supermarkets and our AI reads the actual marked prices. Costs shown in recipes and shopping lists come from those catalogues, adjusted for your state. Prices can still vary store to store, so treat totals as very close estimates rather than gospel.
Do I have to shop at all three stores?
No. The list is grouped by store so you can see what's cheapest where, but plenty of users just shop their nearest store and still save — the recipes themselves are built around whatever is on special.
