Delete Your Account

    This page explains how to delete your BudgetPlate account and personal data.
    BudgetPlate is published by VoidPixel Creations (ABN 50960473836).
    You can delete your account yourself inside the app, or email us and we will do it for you.
  

Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app (immediate)

This is the fastest method and takes effect straight away.

Open the BudgetPlate app and sign in.
Go to the Profile tab.
Tap Delete account.
Enter your password to confirm.

Your account and personal data are deleted immediately. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

If you can no longer sign in, or you would rather we handled it, email support@budgetplate.com.au from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".

We will verify the request and confirm by email once it is done. We respond to all deletion requests within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need the app installed.

What gets deleted

Everything we hold that identifies you is removed from our live database:

Your account — email address, name and password
Your preferences — state, family size, weekly budget, dietary needs and preferred stores
Your saved recipes
Your shopping lists and their history
Your push notification tokens, so your devices stop receiving notifications

What is kept, and for how long

We do not keep a shadow copy of your profile, and we never sell personal information. Recipes and supermarket price data are not personal information and are not affected by deleting your account.

Important — deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. BudgetPlate Pro is billed by Google Play, so it must be cancelled there or it will keep renewing. On your Android device open the Play Store app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BudgetPlate → Cancel subscription. Cancel before you delete your account so the entry is easy to find.
